Новина 6     The main purpose of it is creating a comprehensive interactive data base about the citizens of the Grand Duchy of Finland who had lived in Russia before the October Revolution in 1917, Finnish parishioners of the Lutheran churches and accurate calculating the number of missing and killed people in Soviet Union from 1917 to 1953. Finnish scientists now announce from about 12000 to more than 30000 repressed people.

       The former Prime Minister Antti Rinne and the president of Finland Sauli Niinistö have supported the idea of the research and the latter has also suggested the National archive of Finland (Kansallisarkisto) to deal with the organization and carrying out the research. The massive investigation is going to be started in August and the report will have been published by 2025. The government of Suomi will allocate over 2 million euro for filling in the gaps of Finnish history. There is an announcement at the site of the Finnish government about the report of State Archive of Finland about this research, current data and main points of the study.
